User Reviews4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Great Durable Phone, Thursday, November 13, 2008 - 11:43I've owned this phone for about a week now and I love this phone. I've owned everything from a Razr to and Instinct and this is my favorite by far!
I've been a Nokia user before and Nokia cell phones seem to depreciate in short time. So I switched to Sony Ericsson and I never had regrets. But I'm still keeping my old phone because of memories. I used the Sony Ericsson TM506 for a month now and I LOVE it. It's lightweight but solid and has a great shape and feel in my hand.
PROS:
- Ringers are clear and loud.
- Bright screen
- Great music player.
- Pleasing rubber coating
- User interface is beautiful and bright
- 2 MP camera is clear and detailed. Love it!
- Customizable main menu.
- Recovers service very fast after loosing service. My Razr took a good 3 minutes to recover service after leaving work, this phone takes about 30 seconds.
- 3G is very fast
- Durable and solid
- Bluetooth works great
CONS:
- Ear piece is okay.
- No miniUSB
- Doesn't support SanDisc memory cards.
- No flash.
Overall, the Sony Ericsson TM506 is a great phone. It is definitely worth the upgrade!

Great sound and call quality!, Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - 07:45The standard flip style design is indeed attractive. Great size! The front of the mobile phone has a decent display that shows ringer status, ringer status, time, and battery level. Above the screen is the 2 Mega Pixel camera that takes good quality pictures for sharing to friends and family, emailing or posting to my blogs. Also, the pictures seemed to give a decent amount of detail. The sound quality of the phone was very good. I love this phone so much because the sound clarity of the calls is important to me. Also, on the other end of the phone, everybody says it sounds loud and clear. Incoming ringers are loud enough even if I?m in a noisy mall. I like the options and customizations for the visual appearance and some features. Speakers for music are load and clear.
The software or features of a typical Sony Ericsson OS is easy to navigate and learn Together with the standards, there is a media player to access your pictures, games, music, videos, and even web feeds. RSS readers have been in Smartphone OS?s for quite some time, but this one impressed me. It was easy to setup, and fast to scroll through. I use Google Reader for all my feeds, but someone who wants to get their news on the go will be able to organize this to their favorites.
The GPS using TeleNav?s system works like a charm. The data downloads quickly, making your maps loading as they should. Under the Entertainment section, there are ?DJ? services for your videos, music and photos that enable you to edit your media.
Using the phone?s web browser was a bit difficult because of the lack of a QWERTY keyboard.
Overall, great phone! The first HSDPA enabled phone with GPS, Stereo Bluetooth and a 2MP camera.

Great Durable Phone, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 - 08:13I just got the Sony Ericsson TM506 last few days ago, and I must say that this phone rocks! I'm pretty impressed. It is a little thin phone, very lightweight but solid. The user interface is neat and fast. The screen is stunning and sharp. The pictures look great even though the camera lacks a flash. The sound from the speaker is fairly loud and clear. The signal or reception is great in my area (California). The call quality is very good. Texting is a breeze on this phone, the key pad is flat, but has pleasing feel to it, and you can text fast.
Pros:
Great sleek design
Loud and clear speaker
Great call quality
Nice looking User Interface
Easy to text keypads
GPS works great, seems responsive
Neat menu, with user friendly navigation.
Feels solid
Nice and comfortable keyboard.
High resolution graphics.
Battery strength is excellent.
Cons:
No USB included with phone
No 3.5 jack
All in all, the Sony Ericsson TM506 is a great phone for a low cost device. I recommend it to everyone.
